New President Tasmanian Division - Property Council of Australia

The Tasmanian Division of the Property Council of Australia held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 21st of Feb. Meeting attendees acknowledged the hard work and dedication of President Peter Scott, who has stepped down after four years of service. During his tenure, Peter developed policy and a reform agenda to guide the Property Council Tasmania’s advocacy moving forward.

Division Council has appointed Heather Mason, Mix Property Group, as the new President.

Heather's career spans over two decades in the property industry and she has been welcomed into this leadership role. Having seen the huge growth and future potential of the Tasmanian market, Heather is now committed to working alongside Executive Director Rebecca Ellston in seeing through several reforms on housing, tax, planning and local government to ensure the market achieves growth in line with future demands and population growth.

Division Council also acknowledged Vice President Hannah Gray, Federal Group, who will continue as a valuable contributor to Division Council in her current role.

In addition to the President, the board appointed a new Vice President, Jennifer Cooper, Traders in Purple. Jennifer’s expertise across mixed use projects, apartments and sensitive urban regeneration precincts, will invigorate the Division Council’s push for density, urban renewal and local government reform.

Peter Scott will remain on Division Council as Immediate Past President.

Congratulations to all the new appointed roles and we look forward to the future changes coming forward.
